Hi,
Not finished yet I fear. If all is well running internet explorer "without add-ons" then that means there is something loaded , perhaps a toolbar that is preventing running internet explorer in full mode. (without add ons is like a safemode) You need to look at the add-ons loaded, to do this with internet explorer (using normal mode & not without add-ons)open click on tools then manage add-ons. Then select "enable or disable Add-ons" and look at the list, one of those is causing the problem. You can select one at a time, and disable it to see which is causing the error.
See how you go on.

extract
below just in case.
To do this go from the start button to "all programs", "accessories",
"system
tools" in that menu there should be "Internet Explorer (No add ons)"
open
internet explorer using this shortcut and try a link that previously
failed
& let us know the result.
best of luck

Hi Neil,
Have run IE from accessories without add ons and all still seems fine.
I am so grateful. Thanks for your help.
A great site will pass it on to some of my 'oldie' friends.
Thanks again
Barbara
