Are you able to open XML file by clicking on XML hyperlink in the *internet* using your browser?

Hi Ramesh,
Thanks for your reply.
Background: The machine was recently upgraded from Office 2003 SP2 to
Office 2007. Before the upgrade, XML works fine from both Windows
Explorer and IE.
Yes, I was able to open xml file from Windows Explorer by double
clicking the file, but when I browse the intranet and try to access an
eDocument (which is another xml file), it says
"The file does not have a program associated with it. Please select a
program from Control Panel to associate with this file type"
I double click the file on the intranet as well.
My Computer->Tools->Folder Options->File Types->Extension XML is
associated with Internet Explorer

Can you list out the steps you're trying to open the XML document ...
Using an UNC address perhaps? Are you able to open local XML files
using the same way?

Hi All,
I currently have a windows xp sp2 machine.
The problem I'm having is, whenever I try to open a XML file from
intranet, it pop up an error message saying:
-"The file does not have a program associated with it. Please select a
program from Control Panel to associate with this file type"-
However, I have already specify XML documents to be opened with
Internet Explorer, and I am able to open XML document via Windows
Explorer, but just not from intranet where I access the file from
Internet Explorer.
Does anyone know the solution to the above problem?
Any lead to the answer will be greatly appreciated...
Thank You~!!!
