Like a fool I moved the settings pointer too far to the right and have garbled
up the screen on the monitor so I can't read it to reset the settings back to
a larger resolution. As I can no longer read the screen how do I correct
this problem? Can I do it on the settings mode on start up? Don't really
know where to start.

If unreadable, try using System Restore to a date before you messed with
the settings. Or try what Philo suggested. Or press Winkey/U to turn
on the magnifier if the display's too small to see.
