I have an hp Pavilion-the System Restore icon, option, feature, tab
(whatever
the correct term is) in System Tools has disappeared. I should say an
icon
is still there, but it says System Information. When I click on it the
page
that opens is hp's Help & Support. (The Microsoft Help and Support has
also
disappeard - but one at a time). There is no install disc. Appreciate
some
help is an understatement

The executable for System Restore is called rstrui.exe and is to be found in
Windows/System32/Restore. Try right clicking on it and creating a shortcut.
You can then place the shortcut into System Tools or your Desktop or any
place else you like and run System Restore from it.
