Still can't log in thru admin screen

Mark,
As I mentined I tried Safe mode, ALL categories. When in Safe mode Command
Prompt I'm asked to "Please select the operating system to start:". The only
option is Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition. When I select that it takes me
to the Admin login in screen and my troubles start all over again. I can't
log in as I'm immediately logged out. It does load my 'preferences' then
immediately logs me out. It doesn't matter if I'm in safe mode or normal
mode. I even tried to load from the "D: drive with the "Application and
Driver Recovery DVD". I also tried to reload XP from the D drive but can't
get past the admin login page.

I reset the defaults in the BIOS, I've done a self-test on the hard drive in
the BIOS to no avail.

I have WIndows XP SP3. I have an admin screen set up, one for guests and
one
for me which is password protected.

As soon as I log into my account with my password or try to use the guiest
account, Windows starts to load, I can see the wallpaper, then logs me out
(logging off message). I can not get into my computer to access the
programs.
I;ve booted in safe mode but safe mode has the admin page too and does the
same thing.

Any ideas short for F-disk? :-)

Sue
