JS - what you suggested totally worked. I went into Run and then control
userpasswords2, changed the password for HP_Administrator, rebooted and came
back in with the new password, and it loaded right to my old familiar screen
and favorites and files. THANKS SO MUCH!!

I added a Netgear wireless adapter to my HP last night.
It runs Windows XP Media Edition.
Later I rebooted.
When the computer came back on, it came back as HP_Administrator, and
asked
for the password which of course I don't know.
It will not let me log on as Default User without a password.
I can log on as Administrator without a password, but none of my
favorites/homepage/etc. are there, it's like I'm using the computer for
the
first time.
Any idea what happened and how I can log on as myself again?
Thanks,
Lynn
