USB Ports

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I installed a USB card into my computer and I have gone to the device
manager and they are all working correctly but when I plug my camera -
or card reader into it - the "ding" happens (like when you install new
hardware) but the USB picture used to show up in my taskbar (next to
my clock) and if I right clicked my computer whatever I had plugged
into it would show up. Now nothing shows up so I can't get the
pictures of my phone memory card or my camera. Does anyone know what
I can do to get this picture back in my task bar and get "my computer"
to recognize what is plugged in?

Thank you so much for ANY help you can give me.

Kris
