Compaq gave you the option to make a set of restore disks when you got it. To bad you did not read the manual and do this task before it became too late.
Try www.restoredisks.com to see if you can buy a set for this model.


Since HP bought Compaq, try getting the recovery CDs from HP. Cost is around $20 to $30.
