If you built or purchased a machine with hardware specs that had Vista in mind, and then decide to drop back to XP, the news is good. I built my Athlon 2.6 with 1 G of RAM last year specifically for Vista, and bought a 256 Meg video card to take full advantage of Aero. There's a lot I really like about Vista, but that's just my personal preference. However I had to go back to XP for one older piece of software I need to use. Well, oh boy does XP fly on this machine! Well, it would given the specs. So IF you do have hardware spec'ed with Vista in mind, XP will fly like never before on it.
Thats easy. Microsoft nees it and want it to earn money.
There is really no other reason.
When people have spend their money and got one system, there will always be another one to spend money o

Might be worth considering.

Is it possible/practical to go from Viata back to XP? I'd sure like to do just that! I've heard that one can upgrade but cannot go back. True?
