FWIW, I also have a Canon Pixma (a cheaper model). I use cheap
refilled cartridges I buy from LD Products, and I'm happy with
the results. No damage to the printer, and the output quality
is fine.

I'm happy for you. As I said, just my opinion and obviously your
mileage does vary!
