Re: Home to Pro Upgrade halts and now PC inaccessible

Pull the Network card (or disable the jumper for it), and run setup. After setup, reinstall the net card (or reenable an on board one) 34 minutes is the point where the net card goes in. If internal, you may have to leave it disabled, and buy a cheap one (10 bucks) and run with that.

I needed XP Pro on the PC that I use to work from home. My employer bought
the software & I did all the memory checks, bios changes, compatibitity
checks, and data back-up, yada yada....
Despite all precautions, set-up reaches the point where it is installing
drivers and has 34 minutes to go when it goes silent for a moment and then
barfs up a blue screen splattered with BAD_POOL_CALLER STOP 0X000000C2
(0X00000007, 0X00000CD4, 0X0340045,0XE4FC838C)
I am unable to access my PC with anything but a hammer (and I've avoided
that so far). Can anybody rescue me?
Thanks!
Cindy
