Hello, I just purchased this Emachine with XP
My problem is with received messages:
A new message coming in with just text has an ATTACHMENT of the text
A new message coming in with text and an INSERTED picture has just text AND an
attachment with the text and the inserted picture
A new message coming in with text, an INSERTED picture and an ATTACHED
picture, has just text AND an attachment with the text and two (2) pictures
Every message arrives with an attachment.
All other functions of OE 6.0 are correct (I had to install a 'spell check'
program because the original only used French, but the present problem existed
before the download)
I am fairly new to computers but my old unit with OE 5 never had a problem
like this.
Thanks for any help you can provide, I've never used a support group before so
excuse any errors on my part.

As has been pointed out already, you might want to post this question to the
Outlook Express newsgroup. Search your news server listing for this newsgroup.
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress
That said, you might want to check the following.
In Outlook Express, click on the Tools menu on the toolbar at the top of the
window.
In Tools, select Options.
In Options, click on the Read tab.
On the Read page, make sure "Read all messages in plain text" is not checked.
Click OK.
Check your messages and see if they display the way you expect.
