You did not have to remove your user account to conduct a Repair Installation. However it's always advisable to backup all important data in the event something did go wrong during the repair.

This is what happen, i had XP, unfortunatly i had a BSOD at some moment so i
had to install, i choosed to install over my old XP, this way i don't loose
files. Now, after i got all my files from my old profile : D:\documents and
settings\administrator, i delete it, the newly installation of XP gives me
D:\documents and settings\administrator-MyPC*** , the problem is now that
when i log off or switch from my default account (i had 3 on the current
installation, i can't see in the login screen the administrator account
anymore, and this happen often !
Please someone help me, i like to have a clean version of XP, no problem
