Re: XP Weird problems

Thanks for all the replies but I've known about the problems associated with various ISP supplied products and only specified installations were installed. I am now looking thinking that a Java problem may be involved because of problems that have recently come to my attention with certain toolbars and Java not deleting previous installations when it upgrades.

Most ISP "security" software will require a "working" Internet
connection. If the connection ever goes down (aka "off") then the
software will not protect your system or will make the system
extremely unusable (blocks all access since the sofware can not have
access to its "data" stored at the ISP.)
