Hi Mark,
The taskbar is down at its standard minimum width (the vertical height
property) and the icons which are double layered are half the size so as to
fit. As I have a wide-screen monitor, I have plenty of room for a single
layer of standard size icons. I just wish I knew how to fix this!
Thanks anyway for your kind response.
Jim

At some time you dragged the upper line of the taskbar upward, then
dragged something onto the second line. Use the taskbar Properties to
'unlock the taskbar', and drag anything on top down to the first line,
then resize the taskbar, and lock it.

To the right of the taskbar which is dark blue I have quite a number of
shortcut icons - just to the left of the system time (clock). At some
point (and not at my own choosing), these icons double-decked themselves.
How do I get them back to a single deck?
Thanks in anticipation!
Jim
