Does the computer have a graphic card or integrated graphic chip on the
motherboard? Either way one or the other could
be defective.

just got a used puter from someone, monitor is on but no picture. Get a
"no
video input, check for signal" message. I checked all wires and cables all
looks good. any ideas?
