Re: Sound disappear from Speaker after using headphone

Hi,

I have turn on and off the speaker, pc etc but non work. Unplugged cable
doesn't rectify. Done checking on Sound and notified the same as at work
which has sound came though speaker.

Plugged the work speaker to home pc, sound came though, plugged the home
speaker on and sound came through. Had not tried to plugg in the headphone
again. Just too much trouble.

It would help is you can tell us in greater details on the make/model
of your PC, sound card and speakers.

General tips: To get the speakers to play the sound

1) Disconnect the headphones. Some sound cards will re-direct the
sounds over to the headphone when they are connected to the jack.

2) Check the audio settings and make sure that the sounds are
directed to the speaker jack(s) and not to the headphone jack.

3) If you have used the audio jack that may exist on the CD/DVD drive,
you may have to re-configure the audio settings back to "digital."
The audio jacks that can be on CD/DVD drives are "analog" sound jacks
and the speaker jack(s) on the sound sound card usually require the
sounds to be coming from the motherbaord "paths" which are normally
"digital."

Point 2 can be found in the Control Panel -- Sounds and Audio
Devices. Some "brand name" computer have enhanced controls which can
detect is headphones are used,

As for the problem which you have expanded on, if the headphones were
plugged into on jack in the speakers, then this jack might now be
defective and may not switch back to the speakers.
