Hi all,
This problem happens again and again with my computer. A month ago,
when I restart the computer (which was using WinXP), I found that the
computer couldn't access the harddisk. The BIOS of the computer even
could not detect the hard drive. I replaced a new hard-drive and now
the problem seems to happen again. Now whenever I restart the
computer, the computer can't start up, although the BIOS still detects
the harddisk. To restart the computer, I have to reinstall WIN XP. The
computer works as long as I don't restart it. If I shutdown the
computer for some reasons, I can't start it up until I re-installl WIN
XP. I guess the problem is possibly from the hardware. It damaged data
in the boot sector of my harddisk whenever I start the computer.
Would anyone have the same problem? and any solutions?
Thank you
Though it could be a controller problem...
I'd start out by running a RAM test
.
