That doesn't work, if I try to unmute microphone it mutes Line-in and vice
versa. However, microphone is still prety much non existant in both settings.
When I unmute microphone I get a noice going like "vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv", when
I mute the microphone again it is gone.

In the recording area, mute the line in, and unmute the mic..
start/run, type:
sndvol32
Options menu, Properties, scroll down to microphone, and line in, and check
the boxes.
OK
Next use options, properties to put a dot in 'recording', and OK again.
Note the mute box below each slider.

This is my 3rd topic I had to open (sorry for that, the other 2 can be
removed) because I have problems with my microphone. When I go on like
"Teamspeak 2" the sounds I hear are send to the others as if they were coming
from my microphone. Furthermore, my microphone picks up nothing of what i
say.
What causes this problem, and more importantly, how can this be solved?
I tried to install the sound driver for my mainboard:
Creative Sound Blaster 7.1 channel HD audio driver
link:
http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=downloaddetail&type=driver&maincat_no=1&prod_no=169
And I checked the microphone on another pc, it just worked...
Any solution is welcome because this problem is now with me for a month :'(
and i would like to be able to chat again...
