RE: Windows XP ans AOL

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Mark,

I have done this several times and then reinstalled from the one built in
the computer which gives me AOL 8.X ans from disc with 9.0 VR.
Now, it has come up and worked with each of these; but when I close the
program and try to restart it, it goes to a reboot when it comes to the sign
in screen. At the sign in screen it gives me no time to do or change
anything. When I have removed the AOLs, by the add/remove feature and then
looked for any other hanging around and then reloaded, I think I have won;
but no the culprit raises its ugly head.
Good point, but I'm still on the losers side.
Thanks

Thank you for the response. This did not solve my problem; but in this case
it was very helpful in further understanding software and computers. I will
keep it on file.

Computer had a problem and I went through a restore. Now when I try to laod
AOL either from the AOL stored on my computer or from an AOL disk (9.0)it
will only go to the connect page stop and then reboot the computer.
I have a cable modem and have access to the Internet otherwise. It will not
even go through the telephone line. Device manager says all is working fine.
What do I do next to resolve the problem ???
