How would I underline text?

In WordPad (the word processing program that ships with Windows) you
highlight the text and then click the 'U' in the toolbar, *or* you
click 'U' before you start typing; then click it again to stop
underlining.
Most word processing programs, such as Word, have a similar feature.

* The above web address link is given in two different forms. The shorter
form leads to the same place as the longer form. The shorter form was given
because of the way some newsreaders and such will wrap their text and thus
break the link someone is trying to give if it is over a certain number of
characters.
