"List my most recently used documents" is a checkbox at:
Rightclick start button, Properties, start menu tab, "Customize" button,
Advanced tab.
There is also a list of checkboxes for things like showing the "My
Documents" folder.

I know there must be a way, but I do not want to see Documents in my start
menu, and I certainly do not want to see MRU documents in my start menu,
where anyone could walk in here, move the mouse, and see exactly what I am
doing. I had this the way I wanted it one time; with hope on the next
computer, I will take this computer into the shop and have the tech migrate
everything, so I don't have to do this.
Any advice would be gratefully appreciated.
