Hi,
About 3-4 weeks ago, Internet Explorer started getting slower, and now,
it's slowed to a crawl. I have cable internet, and it used to be almost
instantaneous. I haven't changed anything, and I regularly clean out
temporary files and whatever clutter I'm aware of.
I've been using Norton Internet Security (with automatic updates) for
abouta year now with no problems.
Is there some other reason this might be happening? I don't even know how
to word a search to submit to the MS knowledge base. ANy suggestions would
be great.
Are other browsers also slow? If you haven't done so already, try another browser such as Opera or Firefox. If you'd like something with a small footprint, I recommend OffByOne:
http://offbyone.com/offbyone/
Also, what is your method for cleaning out temporary files? Perhaps you missed something...
Finally, what is the current malware status of your machine?
.
