Re: Internet Explorer slowed to a crawl - reinstall required?

Kris

Open Disk Defragmenter and click on Analyse. Select View Report and
click on Save As and Save. Now find VolumeC.txt in your My Documents
Folder and post a copy.

How much RAM memory? How large is your drive and how much free space?

Try Ctrl+Alt+Delete to select Task Manager and click the Performance
Tab. Under Commit Charge what is the Total, the Limit and the Peak?

In Internet Explorer select Tools, Manage Add-ons, Disable and Enable
Add-Ons. Disable Add-Ons and observe for affect. Then re-enable one by
one observing for affect.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

About 3-4 weeks ago, Internet Explorer started getting slower, and
now, it's slowed to a crawl. I have cable internet, and it used to
be almost instantaneous. I haven't changed anything, and I regularly
clean out temporary files and whatever clutter I'm aware of.

I've been using Norton Internet Security (with automatic updates) for
abouta year now with no problems.

Is there some other reason this might be happening? I don't even
know how to word a search to submit to the MS knowledge base. ANy
suggestions would be great.

TIA!

Kris
