I have been trying to troubleshoot why I keep getting a blue screen of death on my Dell Inspiron E1505. The event viewer shows the following warning multiple times over the last two weeks "An error was detected on the device \Device\Harddisk0\D during a paging operation" and the following error message "The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk0\D".>
What do I do??!! I e-mailed Dell help (computer is still under warranty) and I'm waiting for an answer. Any chance this is a Windows XP/ virus problem? I'm running the Windows Live Onecare system scanner overnight today.
Sounds like hardware. Call them, don't wait. Get anything important off the disk.
Cheers,

Have you ever noticed that if something is advertised as 'amusing' or 'hilarious', it usually isn't?
