What specifically do you mean when you say you checked your BIOS and
everything is OK? What is the status of 'wake on lan' or other wake ons?

Hi Ken AND Ed
Thanks for both your inputs. I checked the BIOS and everything there
is ok. Anyway it wiouldn't be something on a timer , as the computer
comes on after different time lapses.
On a hunch that it is my ADSL modem (uses USB port) I switched off the
PC, and after a few moments lifted the handset of my land phone. By
George, it sent the computer irito life! It booted up. So if my phone
rings, or if I pick up the phone and it starts the computer, how do I
fix THAT?
Regards
StarMan
