Hi,
Doug Knox has just what you need,
http://www.dougknox.com/index.html
On the left side of the page click on Win Xp Fixes.
Look down the page on the left side for Disable Windows XP Balloon Tips,
click that link then download the VBS Script.
All the best,
SG

I'm talking about when I have WinExplorer open and whenever my mouse
pointer hovers over a file a little yellowish window pops up telling
me about the file. I dont want this, is there a way to turn that off?
I have XP setup to display in classic mode if that makes a difference
(dont like rounded corners). Stuff drives me nuts
