Go back to the Control Panel, Internet Connections.
In the left side panel, select "Make new connection".
Follow the on-screen instructions to connect to the Internet manually using a dialup modem.

DUN.

I need to create a DUN. The methods I'm used to in W2K and W98 do not
appear here.

In Control Panel, there are several possibilities, (Accessories does not
appear)

Network Connections: empty

Network Setup Wizard: gets to hardware check, a generic modem is shown,
but wizard does not proceed.

Phone & Modem Options: I entered my ISP.

In Device Manager, I see the modem and IMO it appears installed.

What is the standard way to create a DUN in XP. From the above, do I need
the OS CD to fix this? If so, a problem as there was no CD with the
machine.
