Do the files actually show up in windows media player? If so, does it give
an error message or is it just no sound?

I have a number of mp3 files that played perfectly in Media Player 9/10.
About 3/4 of them play fine in Media Player 11, but the rest just load, and
Media Player 11 . . . does nothing. These same files play fine in the
RealAudio player, but I would like all mp3's to play in Media Player, where
my default mode for mp3 files is set. Instinct tells me this is a codec
problem. Would anyone know which codec, and where I could download it? IF
not a codec problem, what is it? A Google search on the problem yielded
nothing.
Thanks,
Tony
