It's probably a malware infection not picked up by Norton.
Try Spybot (freeware version)

Hope this helps.

When I start PC (with windows XP home edition) I get the error below
or sometimes the PC fails to start and just stops loading windows
and I have to switch off power to restart again -
"The applicationof DLL c:\windows\system32\cmondll.dll is not a
valid windows image. Please check this against your installation
diskette."
If I then click ok pc seems to work ok but can anyone advise how I
fix this error? Unfortunately I do not have the windos disc as xp
was preinstalled on the PC when purchase.
I hope someone can help
.
