I can read. AJR. I was questioning his/her wisdom in trusting a
running computer image to Windows backup in the first place, but
more importantly, not verifying a valid image file was created
nor having the faintest clue how to do a restore. AFTER you
intentionally destroy your own system is NOT, IMO, a very wise

Hello,

I did a backup of my data on an external HDD using the the
following command Start - Programs - Accessories - System
Tools - Backup.

My system was then formatted and given to someone else to
use.

I have a new/stronger system now and need to recover/restore
the backup on the external HDD.

Can someone help me out ASAP please.

Tunji.

Uh, restore from Windows Backup giving your external as a
source? Hope I'm wrong, but I sure as hell wouldn't have done
a Win backup then formatted my HD and THEN asked how to
restore! What if the backup file is corrupt, you're toast?!
Good luck, something tells me you're gonna need it.
