To HEMI-Powered - from the post "...My system was then formatted and given
to someone else....".
Tunji backed up his data and formatted the HD prior to giving it away -
Tunji - if the new computer has XP with Backup (NTBackup) run the restore
option and designate target location. If there are problems restoring from
the exernal drive - copy the backup to the internal HD and restore.

Hello,Uh, restore from Windows Backup giving your external as a source?
I did a backup of my data on an external HDD using the the
following command Start - Programs - Accessories - System
Tools - Backup.
My system was then formatted and given to someone else to
use.
I have a new/stronger system now and need to recover/restore
the backup on the external HDD.
Can someone help me out ASAP please.
Tunji.
Hope I'm wrong, but I sure as hell wouldn't have done a Win
backup then formatted my HD and THEN asked how to restore! What
if the backup file is corrupt, you're toast?! Good luck,
something tells me you're gonna need it.
