"done, but with Errors on page"

please help!!! I am having major problems dowwloading programs and software.
Internet Explorer 7 will download but only with the message Done, but with
errors on page" also, if i click on the taskbar it gives me the message:

object. Also, I recently spent £70 on Norton 360 and after downloading it,
It would not allow me to install it because it returned the message "File
Corrupt" !!! any help would be much apprecciated...I have been at this for 2
weeks now. Thanks
