Good day to you kind people out there, I would need some support.
I purchased a new Dual 2 Core Samsung Laptop with 250 GB hard drive
which I partitioned in two parts, prior to installation, one for the
system, one for my data.
I am using Win XP Pro SP2 incl. all necessary updates and patches and
have 2 problems for which I am surching for some support:
1. Acronis True Image does not function if I have anything else but the
basic installation of XP SP2, but without the patches posted after SP2
installed. I can of course install all programmes etc, but as soon as
the patches are on, the going back to an image is impossible. The
computer stalls after it has deleted the partition and has to be
started with installation from scratch again. Or use the image creeated
before installing the patches. Neither Acronis nor Samsung have an idea
why, especially, as it seems to work fine with the version True Image
6.0
The 2. problem is that despite I have plenty of space for Goback, I get
very frequently msgs. that no goback points are available. Although I
have used Goback on my old computers for years and without any
problems.
I suspect that both problems have a similar cause, this is why I post
them in one.
For both problems I have been searching "everywhere" but may be one of
you has an idea for one or both problems?
Of course I did hot have Goback enabled or even installed when trying
to use True Image 1o. And I am not using any other Defrag Software or
the like during normal work, that could interfere with Goback.
Thanx in advance
