Thanks Shenan for the help.wel i think it's freezing because of the bios sa
this is the only major update i made. i wll try to boot in safe mode and if
it still freezes go for the drivers' update on the manufacturer's website.

Do you think it is freezing because of the BIOS update?

Is there anything in your Windows Event Logs that might point to another
cause?

If you booted to another OS (like a BartPE CD or a bootable *nux CD or even
a DOS boot floppy/CD) - does it freeze up?
(The last thing is troubleshooting - is it an OS as installed issue or
hardware...)

You may want to boot into Safe Mode (if you don't understand the last
question or how to do it) and see if it freezes there. If it doesn't - then
it could be a driver issue and you need to go to Toshiba's web site and get
the latest hardware drivers installed on your computer.

And you could flash the BIOS in the same way you did before to an older
version - given you have the older version and a way to do that.
