Highlight and right click 'My Computer'. Select properties. The window should show total installed RAM..

Hi All,

I recently purchased some SDram 512mb Memory and inserted it with my other
chip on my home PC. I then went to start --> run --> cmd and typed in mem.
The results were exaclty the same before i inserted the new memory chip.

Does anyone know what is wrong, can anyone give me a sight where i am able
to check what type of Memory is in my machine - before i installed the new
chip.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
