CD wont load

I am trying after reformatting my PC to load my picture editors etc for my
canon camera, for some reason the disc doesnt seem to load even when I click
(open) on the drive icon. ....just nothing.
Have I maybe clicked on something to stop it loading?
Any help appreciated.
