Perfect! Now I'm just having difficulty with what I set out to do in the
first place. Everything mentioned so far (as you would have guessed) has been
on XP Pro SP2 - on which I've made the Shared Documents available on my LAN.
It's on my second PC (with XP Home SP2) that I want to set up either Offline
Files or some sort of caching setup for when my main PC is off. But although
both OS have Sync Manager, XP Home seems to show no sign of the Offline Files
function, either as a tab in Folder Options, or in Help and Support. And yet
the Sync Manager is for files that have been made available offline. What am
I missing?

Alternately, to disable Fast User Switching:

Set the value of the AllowMultipleTSSessions registry entry to 0. This entry is found in the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

That did the trick - along with your fixuseracc.vbs. However, when selecting
Tools > Folder Options in Windows Explorer and clicking Offline Files, I'm
still left with a message telling me that I have Fast User Switching enabled
and advised to deselect it by clicking on 'Change the way users log on or
off' in User Accounts. I attempted selecting it, found the Welcome option
only selected (as I want it), but selected/saved Fast User Switching, then
opened it again to deselect it but found it was already deselected. It also
made no difference to Windows Explorer.

I downloaded your script. I wasn't advised to download Windows Script, but
the file didn't run. The following error message appeared when double-clicked:

Line: 11
Char: 1
Error: ActiveX component can't create object: 'Scripting.FileSystemObject'
Code: 800A01AD
Source: Microsoft VBScript runtime error

When clicking 'Change the way users log on or off' an error dialog box
appears stating "Automation server can't create object". After clicking OK
the page is still displayed for the Welcome and Fast User Switching options,
but with both deselected, although I have both functioning in my settings. At
this point, if tick/untick either/both option(s), after clicking 'Change the
way users log on or off' again both options are shown deselected. Also, all
help options on the left show the same error message, after which, IE opens a
blank page. I don't know whether there could be a connection, but I just
tried the same thing on my other PC, and just as I clicked 'Change the way
users log on or off', my security software warned me of a suspicious script
execution, which I think was called mshta.exe and I think mentioned trying to
run RegRead. I allowed it and User Accounts worked fine, and checked
afterward and no viruses etc. I'm trying to turn off Fast User Switching in
order to use the Offline Files function.
