Re: User Login Prob

some xp home will not allow login with administrator unless in safe mode!
However if you boot into safe mode, login the administrator account( could
be blank password until changed), you create another admin ID and call it
whatever you like, assign it a password.

You should be able to login in regular mode with the new admin ID and do
your admin work, installing programs...

WinXP Home. Already did the CTRL+ALT+DELETE routine. Says i am not
authorized. I even called a friend, who brought a special disk and
accessed
the "Administrator" password setting and we entered a new one. Still not
valid. Then I reloaded Windows XP Home from the original cd, and it asked
me
to list the User Accounts I wanted in the set up. I listed them, it
finished, and shazzamm!!! Still no user acounts on the screen which says
"select user account." Now I am loading new AV?Spamware on my "d" drive
to
inspect my "c" with.

I originally posted this question in the wrong group. I will
repeat it here, a more appropriate place.
I allowed my computer to auto update from Microsoft last night, now
I don't have any
user accounts showing and can't get past the login screen. Anybody
know what is wrong? Or better yet, how to correct?

Welcome screen logon?

Windows XP what? Home? Professional? Tablet PC Edition? Media Center
Edition? x64?

Tried pressing CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at the welcome screen and typing in
your
username/password?
