Re: System restore wont even load up

Let me run through my problem thoroughly, because there hasn't been an answer
that has worked yet. When I go to Accessories and System Restore, a window
comes up saying: "Choose the program you want to use to open this file:
rstrui.exe". Then i click browse and find the file.

Then after that it says: "System restore has been turned off. Do you want
to turn on System Restore now?" Then I click "Yes".

Then after that it says: "Choose the program you want to use to open file:
rundll32.exe". This is where I am stuck and I dont know where the file is to
open rundll32.exe, I have browsed the file and found rundll32.exe, but it
isn't the file to open it. And the window closes within a few seconds as
well, so I am having to find the file really quick.

I feel that it is a virus I may have downloaded and it must of somehow got
past my virus protector. I have a very expensive program on there which I
have lost the CD to and I cannot risk losing it, by buying another hard
drive. Can somebody please help me? There seems to be no way around it,
because people's problems dont seem to match mine. I have got all of my
important files backed-up on a few DVD's and stuff, so I dont mind how far
back i get restored to, but I just need desperate help.

Hopefully that should be explained more than enough so people can't post
replies that don't work, or have no relation to my problem.
