hey. i just bought a data cable for my razr v3m, but it didn't come with any software, and my computer cannot locate the software. is there a site anyone could send me to? i'm looking all over the place, but no luck yet. i just want to transfer data(pics and video, not music) from my phone to my pc, and the guy at the store who sold me the cable(usb) said it did'nt need any software.
He lied.
i have an Alienware Area-51 desktop with an upgraded motherboard and a new geforce nvidia card, running xp with sp2. thanks.
You need to purchase and install Motorola's Phone Tools, which include the necessary device drivers for the phone.
Phone Tools Software - Motorola US

(By the way, if you got your RAZR from Verizon, it's been deliberately crippled to prevent your transferring videos or pictures between phone and PC. Verizon wants to be able to charge you extra for emailing those data files to yourself.)
