This does not workIt won't work with executables, but will work with most file types. What is the extension on the file you need to open with a different application?

MSInfo Document

http://groups.google.com/group/24hoursupport.helpdesk/browse_thread/thread/d420425ffce1440d/c0ccff407fde1808?lnk=st&q=msinfo+document&rnum=2#c0ccff407fde1808

The default MSinfo document type (*.nfo) is NOT a text file, and can only be read by msinfo32, but be aware that there are other *.nfo file types that ARE text only, and are used for file descriptions, info and such like. You can search Google for "nfo viewer" for the text type viewers. "
