xp sp2 Dell 4600 I have a password
I boot to safe mode and follow all the prompts to the blue screen that
asks
for password
I select the computer name not administrator
The computer name cannot be the same as an account name You won't be able
to log in using the computer name, because there is no such account.
If this is XP Home, use "administrator" as the account name, and leave the
password blank. Just press Enter.
Or, use your user name, and enter your password - press Enter if there isn't
one.
and hit enter, not typing the
password in.
No matter whether I select admin or the pc name or no matter whether I
enter password or not,
The screen freezes as in I cannot move the mouse.
How do I gain accress to safe mode while maintaining a password? - or
should
I remove the password like I have been doing to get into safe mode?
Thank you

What happens in normal mode? What has led you to use Safe Mode?
