BSOD - at random...

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Over the past few weeks my computer has been crashing to BSOD almost at random. It forces me to do a hard shut-down of the computer and manually rebooting.

The only thing I've installed or updated lately is the latest Windows update.

There is no image to revert ot in the recovery.

It MAY either be the update, or something to do with graphics ??? Not sure.

Any ideas or good diagnostic tools (deep level - such as hardware, drivers, or registry conflicts) that I can try to fix this?

The machine is only a year old.

Alienware 3.2GHz 4G RAM
WinXP Pro SP2+ (all the latest updates)
