Sfx /scannow
MY local computer guy told me I could attempt to fix corrupted files by
inserting the Windows disk, closing the ?Welcome to?? window,
start/run/typing sfx /scannow and clicking OK. For me, this procedure
results in ?windows cannot find? box. What did I do wrong?

It's sfc, not sfx.
