Don--
30 years of working with and building Windows-based PCs, and I would never
have figured this one out without your help! Your solution was successful,
and I really appreciate it.
Have a great one -

I am having an odd problem with "My Computer" that seemed to start
thethe
last batch of updates:
When using "My Computer" to view the contents of a CD, (any CD) all of
iconicons for folders and various file types have the Internet Explorer 7
oversuperimposed over them. Not replacing the originals, but literally
occurtop
of them so that the originals peek out from behind. This does not
removableusing Windows Explorer to view CD contents, and does not occur in My
Computer when viewing files/folders on the hard drive or other
icons, media like flash. It is only in My Computer, and only when viewing D:drive
CD files or folders.
I have looked at all of the File Associations and their respective
tried aand I see nothing that would be causing this. I've rebooted, and
arenumber of other things, but the problem persists. Any ideas??
Windows XP Home, SP2, on an Balance (ECS A535+) notebook. All updates
current and there are no anomalies that I can find using numerous
diagnostic/spy/adware antivirus/firewall etc. software. This is not a
showstopper by any means, but is really annoying...
Thanks for the help!
