Re: Help please! Stop Error

Daave and Nass......

This is an interesting site (http://www.tasklist.org/tasklist_w.html) which
lists many invalid Task Manager processes. Except for one or two legitimate
processes that begin with "W", most are either unnecessary or originated
from a "bug". The reason I searched for a site that defines the different
TaskManager processes is because Wrtman.exe and Wrtproc.exe both appear in
the Processes list and I CANNOT END those two processes. If you recall, I
also could not delete them from the Windows\System32\Drivers\Spool\3 Folder.
I no longer doubt that those two files are the culprits and perhaps the
"dumprep/KernelFaultCheck" entry you mention as well.

Daave, by the way, there are NO updated drivers for the Canon MP530. That
was one of the first things I checked at the Canon site and the online Canon
tech confirmed that with me.

So, it appears your advice to uninstall the MP530 is probably the best
advice of all. Restoring the system to a point before the printer
installation would eliminate the faulty drivers (maybe), but it would also
render my printer unusable until I reinstalled the drivers. Therefore, I
might as well start with a clean slate. So, as soon as gather up my courage
(which seems to have gone missing at the moment), I will uninstall the MP530
and start from scratch.

Thank you both from the bottom of my heart for all your incredible
assistance. When (or if) I get this matter resolved, I will report back.
