IE7 very slow to load

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

I use Firefox as my default browser but sometimes I have to use IE7 when some pages aren't displayed properly. I find all the time that when do have to use IE7 it loads much, much more slowly than Firefox. Anyone any ideas why this should be ?
