Re: partial XP update downlads?

I have a computer that is normally not allowed access to the
internet, but was accidentally connected one day. A few minutes
later, when the connection was discovered, it was immediately
disconnected. Now, every time the computer boots up, it tells me
that it has updates ready to install. I cannot imagine that it
downloaded complete updates in the short amount of time it had
available, and it was actively transferring data when the
connection was severed. How can I make sure the computer will not
be thrown into a tailspin by trying to install an incomplete
update. Also, how can I clear it so it will download complete
updates when I decide that I want it to do so? Thanks, Lon

If it says it has updates ready to install - it downloaded some.
It will not tell you they are ready to install until they have been verified
as fully downloaded.
