I'm running XP SP2 and notice that there are six instances of svchost.exe running when I check in the Windows Task Manager.

3 are shown with the user name 'SYSTEM'
2 are shown with the user 'NETWORK SERVICE'
1 is show with the user 'LOCAL SERVICE'

They are using between 4068K & 25676K of memory.

My system has slowed somewhat lately and is a bit 'laggy'.

I'm wondering if this could be the problem and how I identify if any of these should not be there.
